Bluetooth Low Energy angle-of-arrival tag for indoor positioning. Under development.
The u-locateTag is a simple-to-use, credit card-sized tag for indoor positioning and direction-finding. Designed to be easily placed on assets or worn by individuals, u-locateTag features an ultra low-power chipset and fully supports the Bluetooth LE 5.1 standard for angle of arrival. Furthermore, it is optimized for use with the u-blox u-locate solution products.
It can be switched on and off and has configurable parameters, such as transmission rate and transmit output power. It has a battery life of up to four years. Further power savings can be achieved with the use of the onboard accelerometer, allowing automatic adjustment of the transmission rate based on the asset’s movement.
The status of the u-locateTag can be monitored via an LED and the firmware can be conveniently upgraded over the air (FOTA).
Finally, the u-locateTag casing is protected against dust and particles and is waterproof.
